The following day the 4O33 GTS intermodal service from Trafford Park to Bari passing an NSE liveried 465/466 combo at Denmark Hill. This scene has changed significantly with the installation of a new footbridge and lifts
Four days later on 3rd February the snow has gone. 92003 is crossing Nunhead Junction with a rather lightweight wagonload service bound for Somain. The distinctive tank containers (German I think) were a regular feature of the wagonload service at the time. Later in the year I shot them on the Mossend to Wembley wagonload service at Dudswell.
Realtimetrains was reporting both the 1M16 sleeper and the 4L89 Coatbridge to Felixstowe as running early, but nothing for the 4M01. In the event I missed the 4L89 but managed a snatch shot of the 4M01, with 92032 up front.
A much more recent addition to electric freight operations is GBRf's 4M01/4L18 Felixstowe to Trafford Park, which for the last two weeks has been using 92s between Ipswich and Trafford Park and vv. 4M01 appeared less than a minute and a half after the 4L89 giving me no change to change locations. The mighty Dyson sounded splendid with its heavy train.
Just over an hour later 92043 approaching Highbury & islington on the 4L18 Trafford Park to Felixstowe. It had been running very late but picked up time and was now only a couple of minutes behind schedule.
One of the stars of a Saturday a Old LInslade is the Daventry to Dollands Moor vans. I knew they would be running as the London Midland train to Leighton Buzzard overtook 92041 running light engine on its way up to Daventry. Here the train approaches Leighton Buzzard having exited Linslade Tunnel.
May 6th, back at Old Linslade the 23:55 Mossend to Hoo Junction Enterprise with a nice mixed formation, presumably the gypsum container was being worked back to Mountfield, the flats to Sheerness Steel and the swapbodies bound for the Channel Tunnel.
Knowing that the Dollands Moor to Scunthorpe empty steel train was running on time I cycled over to Gospel Oak, where 92036 appeared a few minutes early on the recoded 6E32, recoded on account of the Corus Rail wagons at the head of the train carrying grooved tramway rail, presumably from Hayange.
On June 26th the 4B23 from Wembley to Milan (Oleggio) approaching Sandling. I only just made it despite leaving home at 05:00, the final day of duty free sales on cross channel routes meant a tailback on the M20.
