The Trams of Prague
Prague has one of Europe's great tram systems, 30 routes on over 140kms of track, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The complexity of the network is eye popping, and it continues to grow. The trams themselves come in all shapes and sizes, from the classic Tatra T3 of the 70s and early 80s, the angular T6A5 and KT8D5s of the 1980s and 90s and the modern Skoda 14T, 15T and 15T4s which will eventually succeed the T3 as Prague's 'standard' tram.
One of the joys of Prague's system is that types of trams are not generally route specific. You never know what may turn up. These pictures were taken on a family city break whilst out being a tourist, which of course is the number one reason for going to Prague in the first place. The number two reason has to be the trams :-)
