If you can't go by train the next best way is, in my opinion, by sea. And on our holidays in and around Scotland I've always liked shooting the ferries of Caledonian MacBrayne and Northlink. So this is a gallery of my ferry shots.
After the Edinburgh to St Andrews bike ride we headed west to Islay for a few days. MV Hebridean Isles was on the Kennacriag to Port Ellen route, here arriving at Port Ellen. It was built in 1985 on the River Ouse at Selby in North Yorkshire.
